I find the best breakfasts to be those that take minimal preparation but also provide you with the best nutritional start to the day. As a result this has been my go to meal of late. Most of the preparation is carried out the night before, leaving you free in the morning to sit and really enjoy you meal.
ingredients
- 1 cup of Buckwheat see product
- 1 cup of Almonds
- 1 apple, grated
- Juice of 1 orange
- 1 -2 tablespoons of Maqui Powder see product
Toppings
- Mandarin
- Kiwi Fruit
- Berries
- Cacao Nibs see product
method
- Step 1In separate bowls soak the almonds and buckwheat for minimum 4 hours or ideally overnight.
- Step 2Drain and rinse the buckwheat and almonds and place in a food processor Add all reaming ingredients, process until smooth.
- Step 3Add all reaming ingredients, process until smooth.
- Step 4Place in serving bowls and top with seasonal fruit and any nuts and seeds you have handy!
- Step 5This porridge will keep in the fridge for up to a week, make sure you cover it tightly!
